ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM (ESP™)
- Electronic Stability Program (ESP™)* is designed to assist drivers in maintaining control of their vehicles during extreme steering manoeuvres. ESP senses when a vehicle is starting to spin (oversteer) or plow (understeer), and attempts to correct the vehicle's course by automatically controlling the throttle and applying the brakes at individual wheels.
- The system senses when a vehicle is starting to spin (oversteer) or plow (understeer), and helps to correct the vehicle's course by automatically adjusting the throttle and applying the brakes at an individual wheel.
- ESP includes Brake Assist, All-Speed Traction Control, and Electronic Roll Mitigation. Available enhancements include Trailer Sway Control, Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist.
- A Partial Off setting is available for when the vehicle is in deep snow, sand or gravel conditions, which allows more wheel spin than with ESP fully on.
- A Full Off setting is available for off-highway or off-road use when ESP features could inhibit vehicle manoeuvrability due to trail conditions.
- No system, no matter how sophisticated, can repeal the laws of physics or overcome careless driving actions. Performance is limited by available traction, which snow, ice and other conditions can affect. When the ESP warning lamp in the instrument cluster flashes, the driver needs to use less throttle and adapt speed and driving behaviour to prevailing road conditions. Always drive carefully, consistent with conditions. Please always wear your seat belt.
HILL DESCENT CONTROL
- Available Hill Descent Control with grade-sensing capability is an enhancement to the Electronic Stability Program (ESP™)*, adding off-road safety and control for added driving confidence.
- The system operates when the transfer case is in four-wheel-drive LO and the gearshift is in Low or Reverse.
- It automatically modulates the brakes to help maintain a safe and controlled vehicle speed of less then 8 km/h (five miles per hour) to assist in steep and slippery descents.
- Featured with Quadra-Trac II™ and Quadra-Drive II™ four-wheel-drive systems.
HILL START ASSIST
- Available Hill Start Assist is an enhancement to the Electronic Stability Program (ESP™) which prevents vehicle rollback on a steep grade when the driver is transitioning from the brake to the accelerator, allowing the driver time to transition from the brake to the throttle to achieve smooth launch on a grade.
- Hill Start Assist automatically maintains brake pressure when the driver releases the brake pedal.
- Featured with Quadra-Trac II™ and Quadra-Drive II™ four-wheel-drive systems.
POWER SUNROOF WITH COMMANDVIEW®
- The available power sunroof features solar control glass, a sliding sunshade and an express-open/-close feature for one-touch operation, providing added versatility and adding to Commander's fun, adventurous nature.
- The CommandView® fixed-panel dual skylights above the second row seats include colour-matched sunscreen privacy roller shades, giving occupants an "open road" sensation, yet allowing them to control outside light for DVD viewing. Standard on Limited model.
uconnect phone with Voice-Command
- Includes a phone book, voice tag dialing, digit dialing, incoming call notification and privacy mode.
- Advanced voice recognition technology makes communications easier*.

UNIVERSAL CUSTOM ER INTERFACE
- Universal Customer Interface (UCI) is the system used to connect an iPod® interface to the vehicle to enable the user to control their iPod through the radio controls and the remote steering wheel switches (if equipped).
- An iPod can be plugged into the vehicle's sound system to play music through the vehicle's speakers, charge/recharge the iPod (when ignition is on), display artists/music choices on the radio and pause/play when uconnect receives a call.
FUEL SAVER INDICATOR
- The Fuel Saver Indicator (FSI) aids drivers in adapting a better driving style to help improve fuel economy and save money. The FSI indicates when the powertrain is in the economy target zone and when the driver has reached the fuel saver mode target range.
